Twitter Is Crying Happy Tears Over How This Adopted Student Met His Birth Family

Twitter Is Crying Happy Tears Over How This Adopted Student Met His Birth Family

Most of us never wonder about who our parents are. But Kieron Graham was adopted, and finally, in college, he pulled at the thread of his origins.

What unraveled from there is nothing short of astounding.

Kieron took a DNA test and found that he had a sibling out there, a brother — and that he went to the same university, in the same program.

Talk about a coincidence! Naturally, it didn't take long for them to meet.

As it turns out, Kieron has a large birth family that he never knew existed, until now.

He has a sister-in-law and a niece, and another, younger brother.

They could all shed a little light on the family he had always wondered about.

And, amazingly, this was all through his birth mother's family. There was still the matter of his birth father's side.

Right from the start, it was clear that Kieron and his new brothers were going to get along well.

Like him, Kieron's older brother is a huge Atlanta Falcons fan. "My older brother literally has a room dedicated to the falcons," he tweeted. "The genes run strong in this family."

And those aren't even his only brothers! Kieron managed to track down another brother from his birth father's side of the family.

And in a huge surprise, the brother revealed that Kieron's birth father didn't know he had another son.

But the shock quickly wore off and Kieron got to meet his birth father and his other new brother.

And they were both "so happy" to meet Kieron.

Finally, Kieron got his birth mother and his adoptive parents all in the same room for a pretty special moment.

The emotions were running high for Kieron and all his parents, which is totally understandable. The most incredible part was how excited they all were to finally meet, and how accepting everybody was of each other — and because he shared it all on Twitter, it was giving other people hope, too.

Needless to say, people followed Kieron's thread religiously to find out what happened.

His original tweet got almost 24,000 likes and 7400 retweets — and more importantly, it had people in absolute tears.

It obviously struck some deep chords with other people who were adopted.

When you think about it, it has to be scary looking up your background like Kieron did. There's no guarantee your birth family will be nice, responsible people, after all.

But Kieron gave hope to people in need of inspiration.

You have to feel for them, and hope that they find a birth family as awesome and accepting as Kieron did.

But in the end, he wanted to remind everybody that as great as his new family is and as wonderful as the experience has been, he couldn't be more thankful for his adoptive family.

What do you think of Kieron's story? Let us know in the comments!
