16 Fast Food Hacks We're Totally McLovin'

16 Fast Food Hacks We're Totally McLovin'

We all have our go-to's when it comes to fast food. Whether it's the best fries, the best burgers, or the overall best service, each fast food place has a different place in our hearts.
But what if I told you I could make your fast food experience even better? There are several hacks that will make your fast food cravings increase two-fold. Let's order out — I mean, check them out!

1. Ask for your Starbucks drink in a cup that's one size larger.

This means there's lots of room for milk without compromising the amount of coffee you're getting. It also means less spills 🙏🙏.

2. Order your fries without salt.

This Reddit user says that means that you'll get them fresh. Sure, you might have to wait, but perfectly crispy and warm fries are more important anyways.

3. If you want fresh food, go during rush hours.

Because there is such a high turnover of food when there are lots of customers, you're almost guaranteed to get your meal fresh.

4. Get more beef in your sandwich at Arby's by ordering two junior roast beef sandwiches.

Mommy's Fabulous Finds found out that two of these actually have more beef than one regular sandwich.

5. Put your takeout in the microwave right away.

Christine over at The Kitchn tells us that this keeps your takeout warm while you do whatever you need to do to prepare to eat. Because microwaves are insulated, it keeps your food warmer than if you left it on the table. Who knew?

6. Next time you're at Chipotle, ask for half chicken, half steak.

According to Reddit user kaett, the employees usually give you nearly full portions of both, so you end up with more meat overall.

7. Go to McDonald's between 10:30am and 11:00am.

This Quora user says that because they're in the process of switching over from breakfast to lunch, you can get the best of both worlds.

8. Make your own KFC poutine.

Have a craving for poutine but have no idea where to get it from? Head on over to KFC and ask for fries with cheese and gravy. They even sometimes have real cheese curds.

9. Peel back the cardboard on your fries for optimal dipping.

This hack is so genius I can't believe I have never thought of it before. Thanks to Reddit user PuffHoney, I'll never have stained jeans again.

10. Order an apple pie McFlurry and your life will change forever.

Where has this been my whole life? Just buy a McFlurry and an apple pie and ask them to mix them together.

11. Ask for the hot fudge from the sundaes in your mocha instead of mocha syrup.

According this Reddit user and ex-McDonald's employee, they might charge you a bit more, but it's 100% worth it.

12. Ask for an "old cut" at Subway.

Back in the day, Subway used to cut their bread in more of a u-shape, which meant you didn't have to worry about your toppings falling out.

13. Save on a Big Mac and order a McDouble without ketchup and mustard, then add Mac Sauce.

Serious Eats says that while you won't have a bun in the middle, it'll taste basically like the real deal.

14. Ask for a round egg instead of the folded scrambled kind.

Not every McDonald's breakfast sandwich has the beautifully round egg. But, you can always ask for it to be added according to Serious Eats.

15. Use your seat warmer to keep food warm.

We've all tried and failed when it comes to trying to eat and drive at the same time. Thanks to this Twitter user, we can use our seat warmers and eat a warm meal when we get home.

16. Basically every fast food restaurant has a secret menu, you just have to go find it.

It just takes a little bit of research, diving deep into the depth of Reddit to find them.
