Kendall Jenner's Oversize Coat Might Be The Best Meme Of 2018

Kendall Jenner's Oversize Coat Might Be The Best Meme Of 2018

I'm always a little surprised when a Kardashian/Jenner makes their way into a meme, but in a good way.
I don't know, there's something about the internet coming together to just laugh along with the family instead of roast them. It's pretty wholesome, and I'm here for it.

Before we dive in, let me just recognize that saying Kendall Jenner's oversize coat is the best meme of 2018 is a very bold statement.

I'm sure some of you have picked up your pitchforks and are ready to throw YOUR favorite memes at my face, just to prove that I'm wrong.

And honestly, I welcome it. I won't deny that there have been some great memes to come out of this year

And I'm sure after a week or two, this Kendall meme will become completely obsolete.

An honorable mention goes to the memes that I don't know the official names of, but that made me laugh nonetheless.

You know who you are.

The time has now come to move on to the next and greatest meme of the year: Kendall Jenner's oversize coat.

Amazing, right?

It all began when a meme account, @itsmaysmemes, which is known for digitally enhancing various items of clothing on celebrities, went after Kendall.

They turned what was just a regular sized jacket into something the internet was ready to run with.

I'll be the first to admit that I didn't realize it was digitally altered at first.

I was ready to succumb to the idea that a jacket this large really existed, and that it was just fashion I wouldn't understand.

Clearly, I was in the minority here, but whatever. People took the image and ran as far as they possibly could with it.

And I'm very much here for this digital art.

This is the kind of quality content that the internet needs more of.

I really don't care about which celebrity is throwing a shoe at who. Give me more giant coats and shrunken bodies please.

Someone pointed out that this jacket actually belongs to Baymax, and they're not wrong.

There's still time. Big Hero Six 2 isn't a thing yet, right? Give the bot the puffy coat that he deserves!

The jacket's matching accessory is clearly this oversize backpack from a meme that was popular eons ago.

When I say "eons" I really mean that I don't remember when it was popular and I'm too lazy to look it up.

Okay, I just want to say PREACH sister.

I was 100% that kid who volunteered to wash desks at recess just so I didn't have to go outside in the cold.
I also had no friends.

I hate that I'm a fully grown, 26-year-old woman who still buys coats that are way too big for me.

You know, just in case I grow any more.

Is this not the best though?

Like, in real life, wearing a jacket that large would be a huge fashion no-no.
But if it's your boyfriend's jacket? The bigger the better.

Twitter was also reminded of another large, puffy red jacket that we all know and love from our childhood.

I'm sure Kendall felt exactly Ralphie from A Christmas Story.

And of course, we can't forget this iconic jacket. It’s Gortex.

Anybody wearing a jacket that big and puffy deserves to be repeatedly hit over and over and over and over and over and ov—

Anyway, were we wrong? Is this not the greatest meme of 2018?

And I have a funny feeling that the memes are just getting started. Bring it on, internet. Bring it on
