This Couple Was Mid-Boink When Their Watch Called Emergency Services, And It Has Us LOLing

This Couple Was Mid-Boink When Their Watch Called Emergency Services, And It Has Us LOLing

In our most fearful science fiction, we imagine machines turning against us and destroying humanity from within. More realistically, that's not how technology's going to get us. No, it's going to sneak in at inopportune moments and simply destroy us with embarrassment.
Take, for instance, what happened to Jo Graham, host of the pro wrestling podcast How2Wrestling, and her partner/co-host, Kefin Mahon.

Jo and Kefin were getting down and doing what couples do, when the Siri voice recognition on her Apple Watch apparently mistook the sounds of passion as cries for help.

But that wasn't the end of the cringe. On the one hand, it's great to know that your phone is ready to have your back in the event of a real emergency, but when the systems fire off at the wrong time, it can sure be awkward.

I'm hoping for Jo's sake that her boyfriend is her emergency contact, otherwise there would've been at least one very uncomfortable phone call to make.

Naturally, friends started pouring in to make fun...

...but Jo did a great job of acknowledging the humor of the situation.

Advice started pouring in about how to avoid this kind of mishap in the future.

Maybe a change in bedroom etiquette would help?

And, just like any good viral story on Twitter, somebody had to make a pun about it.

But, ultimately, this turned out to be the nail in the coffin for Jo's relationship with her Apple Watch.
