These Are The Best Vacation Spots, Based On Your Personality Type

These Are The Best Vacation Spots, Based On Your Personality Type

Raise your hand if you've ever been personally victimized by decision making. *Raises both hands* I find it especially difficult when it comes down to the most important question out there: Where should I travel to next? If you're in the same boat as me, no need to fret, I've compiled a list of the best places to travel based on your ~unique~ personality type. In other words, I got you.

1. Adventurous: Mount Kilimanjaro, Tanzania

You are the type of person who probably owns a water bladder and you've heard of "gaitors" at some point in your life. My personal experience involved a lot of crying, so it's definitely not for the faint of heart.

2. Escapist: San Blas Islands, Panama

This is for the type of traveler who wants to feel a little like they are on the show Survivor. The San Blas Islands are known for their quiet waters and their equally quiet atmosphere. The perfect escape from reality.

3. Food-obsessed: Rome, Italy

Pasta and gnocchi and gelato, oh my! I gained a solid 15 pounds in pure happiness weight the last time I visited this city. If delicious food is on your brain, then you know exactly where to book your next trip.

4. Laid-back: Ubud, Bali, Indonesia

In this cultural capital, you can spend a day strolling through the rice paddies or hop on a bike and marvel at the constant flow of festival after festival. The only thing urgent in Ubud is how badly I need to go back.

5. Social: New York City

Get out your wings, you social butterfly! This is the city to bar hop, talk to strangers, and bask in the million and one things to do. Day and night, there's never a shortage of places to go, things to do, and people to talk to.

6. Romantic: Brugge, Belgium

Forget Paris! I'm taking (my non-existent) love to the most romantic city around, Brugge. With it's medieval architecture and picturesque canals, there's no better place to share a waffle under the stars.

7. Energetic: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Do you like dancing on a beach with strangers? How about an impromptu game of soccer volleyball? These are all things that happened to me within my first half an hour on Copacabana. If you like constantly being on the move, welcome to Rio.

8. Health-focused: Vancouver, Canada

This is perfect for the traveler looking to come back home with a whole lot of zen in their carry on. Vancouver is jam-packed with healthy eats, soul-searching hikes, and tons of perfect outdoor yoga spots.

9. Pioneer: Borneo

There's always that one friend that brags about the country only THEY have been to. If you're that friend, then Borneo is for you! It's a stunning island that boasts lush national parks and some of the best diving in the world.

10. Introvert: The Azores, Portugal

If all you need is a book and a beach, let me introduce you to The Azores. An archipelago in the mid-Atlantic known for its dramatic vistas and sweeping landscapes, it's perfect for you if you are more about mountains than talking to other people.

11. Spontaneous: Scotland

You never know what's going to happen when you set out on the winding roads of Scotland, and that's the best part. Take shelter in a castle during a downpour? Perhaps. Heard of sheep blocking your road? Chances are high.

12. Scholarly: Athens, Greece

A perfect destination for those who want to learn while traveling. Yeah, those people exist, I swear! Athens has an abundance of relics from centuries ago that you can almost get lost in all the history.

13. Posh: London, England

You don't have to actually be named Posh and be a part of the best girl group known to man to want to feel like a million bucks in one of the trendiest cities in the world.  You can spend days dining in exclusive restaurants and window shopping past stores with shoes pricier than my rent.

14. Inquisitive: Saint Petersburg, Russia

When I think of Saint Petersburg, I immediately have so many questions. If you are like me, then you have the same curious gene and this would be a perfect city to explore. The architecture, the history, and the stories we've all heard as children come to life.

15. Artsy: Paris, France

Every single corner of Paris makes me want to grab the closest canvas and easel and paint a masterpiece. Small problem is I can't paint, so I usual settle for the thousands of galleries, museums, and street art that make this city so special. If you are into any of those three things, Paris is for you.

16. Wild: Queenstown, New Zealand

It didn't get it's nickname "the adventure capital of the world" for nothing. From skydiving to bungee jumping, to this thing that simply looks like a terrifying plastic chair swing, adrenaline junkies unite in Queenstown!
