Totally Relatable Embroidery Projects That Describe Exactly How We Feel About The Holidays

Totally Relatable Embroidery Projects That Describe Exactly How We Feel About The Holidays

The holidays are a time of cheer, joy, and family — but all of that can get old real fast when you've got presents to buy and wrap, parties to attend, and dinners to cook. Oh, and all of that on a budget.
But it helps to know that we're not alone — these moody crafters have our backs with their hilarious embroidery projects.

1. Anyone else want to boycott the holidays this year?

At least you know that you and grumpy cats have that in common. No tree, no gifts, no parties, just you and a bottle of your favorite wine — or two.

2. Or maybe you're into gin?

If wine isn't your thing, a classic gin martini — shaken, not stirred — can help get you through the holiday madness in one piece.

3. This one might hit home a little too hard.

Is this what you do at your company holiday party? Don't forget, Santa's watching you — and your boss might be, too.

4. Like I said, Santa knows all.

But I like to think Santa has a wild side, too. I mean, all that milk has to get a little boring after a while, right?

5. The holidays are a time for reflection.

Don't forget about it all — the good, the bad, and the ugly. What would Santa really think about your behavior all year long?

6. Son of a...

Careful now — not only is Santa making his list and checking it twice, the elves are listening in, too. Plus there's nothing funnier than a toddler yelling "son of a nutcracker" at your 90-year-old grandmother.

7. Rent, phone bill, and credit cards all paid for — plus an all-inclusive trip to Hawaii...

Let's face it, being an adult sucks, which means our wishlists only have the things we really need this year.

8. But in reality, this is all I'm getting.

My siblings are as broke as I am. So, unless they win the lotto, this is all I'm getting for Christmas this year.

9. Speaking of which...

I'll certainly have a few grievances to air over that super lame gift, but I'll save them for when it's my turn with the trusty aluminum pole.

10. I'm a total hypocrite, but at least I tried.

Like I said, being an adult sucks. But at least I put effort into making you something fabulous? I am the macaroni art queen, after all.

11. Well, if we've gotta celebrate, we can at least have some fun.

Grab yo' friends, grab yo' family, and party the night away. Or until someone knocks over the Christmas tree.

12. At least we have a Star Wars movie to look forward to every year.

I mean, Star Wars is the only real reason we celebrate every year in December, amirite?

13. This Christmas classic says everything we have all wanted to say.

More than being left home alone, who else wished for a Red Ryder BB gun for Christmas every year?

14. The excitement of Christmas definitely has me wide awake!

I'll get up early to unwrap gifts, make breakfast, and go through my stocking...only if "early" means anytime before noon. Okay?

15. And don't forget...

Even with all the craziness of the holiday season, it really is the most wonderful time of the year (especially if you make sure to stock up on beer).
