Disney fanatics might think they know everything about the show, but odds are, there is something on this list that will come as brand new information.
1. Mr. Gold doesn't have a first name in the real world.
How did I not notice that? He doesn't have a name simply because he was never given one.
2. Prince Charming should have died in the first episode.
In the midst of sending Emma through the portal in the pilot, Prince Charming was stabbed. Originally, that was supposed to be the end of his character, but writers decided otherwise and put him in a coma instead.
3. Emma is older than her dad, Charming — at least when it comes to the actors who portray them.
Not only is Jennifer Morrison, aka Emma, older than Josh Dallas, aka Charming. But, come to think of it, the timing and ages of this fam weren't right to begin with.
4. Peter Pan being a villain followed the original tale.
Some might be familiar with the original idea behind Peter Pan, where he was a villain who murdered the Lost Boys once they reached a certain age. Disney did a lot of censoring on that one, huh?
5. Lady Gaga was almost cast as the Blue Fairy.
She was offered the role but the casting team never heard back. Can't imagine how she would have made time for that though — the Blue Fairy has become a regular minor character!
6. Captain Hook's Jolly Roger has been featured in Pirates of the Caribbean and Star Trek.
Yes, the same boat — which is a replica of the Lady Washington — has been used for all three franchises. Did you ever notice similarities? I didn't!
7. Some actors knew exactly who they wanted to play before even taking the role.
Ginnifer Goodwin, aka Snow White, says, "It was always the Snow White role...I know that I'm drawn to characters from whom I know I need to learn something, and right now that's certainly Snow White and Mary Margaret."
8. Characters sometimes correlate with new releases.
Cruella De Vil appeared on the show when 101 Dalmations was re-released, as was Ariel for The Little Mermaid. ABC is a branch of Disney — plus we're not surprised at all the promotion, are we?
9. The Magical Wardrobe that Emma is sent to our world in is a nodto Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe.
Clever, right? There are a ton of hidden tributes like this one throughout the series.

10. Sheriff Graham is played by Fifty Shades of Grey actor Jamie Dornan.
Yes, Christian Grey and Sheriff Graham are the same person. Kind of. Wild, right?

11. Hook's character inspiration was Han Solo from Star Wars and Wesley from The Princess Bride.
But a lot more rugged, villainous, and always equipped with rum. Of course.

12. Prince Charming and Snow White did live happily ever after.
We're not only talking about the show here! Josh Dallas and Ginnifer Goodwin began dating once meeting on-set, and then proceeded to get married and have children together. Someone else crying too?
