11 Surprising Things That Meghan Markle Will Have To Give Up When She Marries Prince Harry

11 Surprising Things That Meghan Markle Will Have To Give Up When She Marries Prince Harry

Meghan Markle's life is about to change a major way. I mean, that tends to happen when you marry a British prince.
She may be living out our wildest childhood fantasies, but that doesn't mean she isn't making major sacrifices, too.
From social media to having a job, these are the ways Meghan Markle's life will change after she walks down the aisle...

1. Instagram

Apparently, it's not becoming for a member of the British royal family to post a fire selfie from time to time.
Honestly, this is a tragedy because I need to see more of what goes on in that palace.

2. Her United States citizenship

Duh. I mean, it's not like she can marry into the British royal family and stay in the United States.
She may apply for dual citizenship, but she'll definitely have to become a U.K. citizen sometime soon.

3. One of her dogs

Okay, this is actually really heartbreaking. Meghan isn't able to bring her beloved dog, Bogart, with her to Buckingham Palace because he's too old to make the trip.
Honestly, that's reason enough to call off the wedding.

4. Her acting career

Meghan Markle is a successful actress, but she's calling it quits to live out a literal fairy tale.
Being a member of the British royal family is a full-time job, so, unfortunately, we'll have to say goodbye to seeing her crush it as Rachel Zane on Suits.

5. Her lifestyle website

Meghan recently shut down her lifestyle blog, The Tig, after three years!
"What began as a passion project (my little engine that could) evolved into an amazing community of inspiration, support, fun and frivolity," wrote Meghan in a touching farewell letter.  "You've made my days brighter and filled this experience with so much joy."

6. Her clothing line

Did you know that Meghan guest-designed a clothing line with Reitmans? Well, she did.
It's unlikely that we will be blessed with any more of her designs, so if you were lucky enough to snag one of her items, I'd hold on to it!

7. Her home in Toronto

Along with giving up her role in Suits, Meghan will have to give up her home in Canada.
I mean, she's moving into a literal palace, so I don't really feel bad for her about this one.

8. She can't be active in politics

Meghan is often outspoken about social issues, but you probably won't hear her opinion on politics in the future.
Royals don't generally discuss their political views. That's going to be my excuse, too, next time someone asks me about politics.

9. She'll probably have to dress more "modestly"

It's no secret that the British royal family has their own style, and it's pretty modest and formal.
But Meghan has a unique style of her own, and I can't wait to see what her take on royal attire will be.

10. She have to get used to having a security team

The British royal family is constantly surrounded by security, and they have been for their entire lives. They probably don't even notice it.
But Meghan didn't grow up a royal, and we bet that it will take some getting used to for her.

Who knew that you had to give up so much when you marry a prince?

Actually, I knew because I've seen The Prince and Me around 1000 times.
Do you think these sacrifices are worth it? COMMENT and let us know!
