Brace Yourselves For This Disney-Themed Clothing Store...For Adults

Brace Yourselves For This Disney-Themed Clothing Store...For Adults

Some of us never truly grow out of our Disney Princess phase.
Luckily for the dreamers, a new boutique called "The Dress Shop" is now open in the heart of the Downtown Disney District in California's Disneyland!
That's right, an adult-focused Disney store!
So brace yourselves, because this dress and accessory collection is truly in a wonderful world of its own.

The dresses are based off of different themes.

Some are based on the princesses themselves.
Others are based on some of the theme park's most notorious rides, like Tower of Terror.

There is a dress for everyone!

Created by Disney Parks Merchandise, the collection is designed to give that wonderful sense of Disney nostalgia that fans of the movies and parks will love.

The woman responsible: merchandiser Donna Sorrow.

Sorrow told Disney Parks Blog, “We designed The Dress Shop collection for guests who want to emulate their favorite Disney characters or theme park attractions in a fun, retro way.”

Not to be confused with costumes, these are everyday wear.

Donna explains, “These items aren’t costumes, rather the collection contains perfect outfits for guests who have a passion for Disney style.”

Customers are encouraged to wear the dresses to the Disney theme parks.

“The dress styles are classic in design and contain incredible little details. Yet all the styles have modern fits which make them wonderful outfits to wear when visiting Disney Parks.”

Look closely!

In the detail of this wintery dress, you'll find your favorite original Disney characters — from Goofy, to Pluto, to Donald Duck and his nephews: Huey, Dewey, and Louie.

Bring your inner Belle to life!

How much do we all want to be Belle? Especially after Emma Watson portrayed her flawlessly in the live adaptation of Beauty and the Beast.

Or Minnie Mouse!

Imagine buying this number, putting it on, and going straight to meet Minnie Mouse at the park!
All our Disney dreams coming true, one dress at a time.

Behold, the Cinderella dress.

This is when I seriously consider making the trip just to get this amazing dress.
All you need are some casual glass slippers, and you're all set!

Oh, there they are!

It's all in the details, people!
How would this dress be complete if there was no trace of glass slippers and a pumpkin carriage?
Could this dress be any more perfect?

They even put out pinup-style dresses for the grand opening!

How much do you want to be these girls, trying on the cutest dresses of life?
The dresses come in a variety of sizes and range from $100–160.

Details, details, details.

Not only is this dress incredibly adorable to begin with, but it's a giant nod to the song and Disney Park attraction "It's a Small World."
How awesome is that?

Speaking of details...

The store is an attraction itself.
With colorful chandeliers hanging from the ceilings and the walls full of Disney characters, you'll want to go just for the experience, even if you don't end up buying anything.

Then there are the accessories...

What good is a dress without matching accessories?
We also get a sneak peek into the design and creation of the dresses, and accessories to go with them.

And the Orange Bird jewelry!

Because we all need a necklace, bracelet, and earrings with Disney's famous Orange Bird on it!
You will for sure turn heads with accessories like these!

A Chip clutch, because why not?

Are you even a Disney fan if you don't have this purse? Chip is the cutest.
It may be a little extra, but it's definitely a conversation starter!
