Cameras Filmed Kim Kardashian's Anxiety Attack And It's Super Important

Cameras Filmed Kim Kardashian's Anxiety Attack And It's Super Important

No matter how you may feel about Kim Kardashian or the rest of the Kardashian-Jenner family, I think we all need to agree that when it comes to mental health, keeping an open and honest discussion about it is so important.
That's why we're so happy that Kim let the cameras that filmed her anxiety attack air the footage on her show.

You likely know all the details about Kim's Paris robbery by now.

But for the uninformed, I'll fill you in.
In October 2016, Kim was attending Paris Fashion Week when she was robbed at gunpoint.
While Kim escaped physically unharmed, that kind of trauma takes an emotional toll on a person.

Kim opened up about the experience on Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

She revealed that since the robbery, a lot of things would be changing in her life, mainly regarding her social media presence and security.

You may have noticed that her posts on social media rarely give away her exact location, and they never feature any of her jewelry or possessions, which she was robbed of that night.

She explained that the only thing important to her from then on was her family.

And that's held true over the year. The majority of her posts are mainly about her family, or spending time with her children instead of promoting at clubs and parties.

Naturally, such a traumatic event can cause a lot of anxiety in a person going forward, and Kim hasn't been shy in expressing how she's been coping even a year later.

The cameras for her show recently captured Kim having an anxiety attack.

And even though it's tough to watch her struggling, it's wonderful that she's not hiding it.
Unfortunately, a lot of people tend to brush off any sort of mental health issues because of the stigma surrounding it.

A recent clip shows Kim vacationing in Mexico, calling a friend because she doesn't feel safe in her hotel room.

The friend was the owner of the home she was staying in, and she tearfully explains that she has anxiety and asks if he's sure it's safe.

She opened up about her anxiety attack in an interview later on the show.

"Ever since Paris I just go through this worst-case scenario mode in my head. I was so excited to come on this trip and I had no idea I was going to end up feeling this way..." she explained

She revealed that she began to worry when she realized people at the airport could see their expensive luggage and bags.

"It just hit me, we're the biggest target ever," she said

Anyone who watches the show knows that it often touches on sensitive topics going on in the family's personal lives, so it's not a huge surprise that Kim would keep this hidden.

Hopefully, her openness will encourage others to seek help for themselves if they've been trying to cope after experiencing trauma.

Seeking help for anxiety, depression, PTSD, or any other mental health issue is massively important.

If you are struggling, just know that you're far from alone, so don't hesitate to reach out for help.
