A Brother And Sister Abandoned As Babies Reconnect Almost 30 Years Later

Janet, a woman living in Southern California received an email from a stranger in Wisconsin. Her first thought was that Dean, the stranger from Wisconsin, was her long-lost cousin. As they continued to email each other, it soon became apparent that there were many more similarities than they previously believed. 

Janet was later adopted by Dave and Virginia Barnicoat, who never hid the fact that she was adopted. They showed her the newspaper clipping of the cyclist who rescued her and brought her to the hospital. Janet met with JoAnn Hauser, the cyclist who rescued her, in 2013. For Janet, that wasn't enough to satisfy her curiosity. She soon signed up for an ancestry website and took a DNA test which matched her with her long-lost brother, Dean. They began emailing each other, talking and sharing baby pictures, only to realize the immense amount of similarities they shared. When Janet found out that Dean was abandoned in 1986 as a baby, it finally set in.
