15 Facebook Posts That Got People Fired
Sometimes people like to exercise their right to free speech on the internet, displaying it to their friends and family. Apparently these people forgot that they also had their employers added on Facebook. Here's a list of 17 hilarious and unbelievable things that people have done to get themselves fired. Whether or not the employer was right to fire them could be up for debate, but the lesson remains the same: be careful of what you post!

1. I Guess You Could Say She Was Fired For "Dickin' Around"
Caitlin Davis was fired from her job cheerleading for the New England Patriots when a picture of her appeared on Facebook. She was seen next to a passed-out friend who had been covered in racist terms, swastikas, and phallic symbols.
2. The Jury's Out - You're Cut!
A UK Juror was dismissed after she posted to Facebook asking for help by writing: "I don't know which way to go, so I'm holding a poll." I guess they showed her which way: the door.
3. Apparently This Guy Forgot He Added His Boss
Posting about your utter hatred for your boss probably isn't the best idea...especially if said boss is one of your friends on Facebook.
4. Liar, Liar, Pants On Fire!
According to Reddit user Shylocv "I had to fire someone for one. He was a volunteer firefighter and left for a call which I allowed. Fifteen minutes later someone showed me his 5 minute old post of him riding quads saying something along the lines of "sometimes you just need to F off from work". That put him on a final warning. He then left because he said HIS house was on fire then half an hour later his wife tagged him in a photo of him sitting in a kiddie pool in front of his house.
The funny thing is, in both cases, if he had simply asked to leave early I probably would have said yes."
5. Everyone's A Critic
A Pittsburgh Pirates mascot was fired for posting on Facebook criticizing the choices of the team's President by saying: "Coonelly extended the contracts of Russell and Huntington through the 2011 season. That means a 19-straight losing streak. Way to go Pirates." Unlike the General Manager and Manager, his contract was terminated.
6. Well, That Was Blunt
Reddit user deathTOimmortals says "I posted my facebook status about how big of dickhead my boss is...... and tagged him." At least he was courteous enough to tag him, right?
7. It Looks Like This Guy Got Fired For His Stint In Never Never Land
An intern was fired soon after requesting to leave early due to a "family emergency." A few hours later one of his friends tagged him in a photo of him dressed up as a fairy at Halloween party. At least he looked stylish, right?
8. Her Employment Contract Got "Mashed"
A Tennessee KFC employee had a Facebook picture posted showing her licking a pile of mashed potatoes at work. Needless to say, she was immediately fired. Thanks to this not-so-witty fellow, the entire KFC staff at that particular restaurant had to be retrained!
9. Royal What? Oh, Royally Screwed
Apparently while guarding Buckingham Palace, the Royal Guards can be as stoic as ever. But whenCameron Reilly got home, he had this to say about Kate Middleton "hur and william drove past me on friday n all a got was a shitty wave while she looked the opposite way from me, stupid stuck up cow am a not good enough for them! posh bitch am totally with u on this 1 who reely gives a f*** about hur."
10. Hey, You're Kind Of Cute
A New York teacher got fired for his Facebook post. Apparently he thought it would be a good idea to add and comment on his students' profiles. He was fired for saying, "Your boyfriend does not deserve a beautiful girl like you." Solid effort, pal. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
11. I Don't Feel The Same Way About You... By The Way, You're Fired
Another classic case of someone forgetting they added their boss on Facebook. This woman thought it would be a good idea to go off on her boss, only to have him comment on her post. Needless to say, his comment satisfies.
12. I Can't See Through These Clouds, Bro
Apparently it was 4:20 wherever this guy was, and he just wanted to show it to the world. His employer didn't think it was as cool a picture and called him out on it. Good luck, dude.
13. Yeah, These Taco Shells Are Up To Standard
It looks like this Taco Bell employee thought the product needed some quality-assurance done. His method was just a bit...unorthodox.
14. Here's A Tip, And You Can Keep The Change
Apparently this waitress was a bit vexed by her small tip. Going home then posting about it and what you would do the next time they came in? Yeah, probably not the best idea in the world. Note: this story has since be revealed as false, but in internet land, does it really matter? Lesson = learned.
15. You're Right, You Are A Waste Of Money
A New Zealand woman thought it would be a good idea to post on Facebook about how she is a "very expensive paperweight," that is "highly competent in the art of time wastage, blame-shifting and stationary theft."
