Good morning to all the teachers and my dear friends.

A day, kept aside to honour the gifted souls who work everyday to make sure that the future is bright for all of us. Let us welcome all the teachers with a big round of applause.

On this beautiful occasion, let us take the opportunity to convey our wishes to all our teachers, who have given impeccable contribution in shaping us.

Every year 5th of September, we celebrate Teachers Day. It is a day filled with lots of excitement, joy and happiness as students are eagerly looking forward to tell their teachers how and why are they special to them. It is my honour to to talk about our dear teachers on this wonderful occasion.

We celebrate Teachers' day on 5th of September every year in India. September 5th is marked by the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and the Teachers' day is celebrated in commemoration of his birthday. Along with being a succesful leader in the form of the President of the Country, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was great scholar and an excellent teacher.

Students across the country celebrate this day to pay respect and thank their teachers. Teachers are the back bone of our society. They spear head change by shaping and building students' personality and make them ideal citizens of the country.

As one looks at the great impact on the growth, development and well being of the students and nation, one must agree that teaching is a noble profession.

There is a saying that teachers are greater than the parents. Parents give birth to a child whereas teachers mould that child's personality and provide a bright future. Apart from academics, teachers stand by us at every step to guide, motivate and inspire to become better people.

They are the source of knowledge and wisdom. From them leads the ideas and thougts, that one day each one of use will use to provide back into this society. I would like to extend my gratitude to every teacher for selffless service and dynamic support.We are always grateful to you.

Good morning to all of you gathered here to celebrate the special occasion - The Teachers' Day. It gives me immense pleasure to be here and to talk about the main personalities of the day, our very own teachers.

It is well-known fact that every year we celebrate 5th September as Teachers' Day in memory of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was a Teacher par excellence and also one of the successful Presidents of India.

Teachers' Day is a special and important day as students offer their respect to Teachers in recognition of their contribution in the field of education.

Speech 3:

Teachers are the building blocks of our lives. They act as second mothers to all students. On this August occassion, on behalf of all the students, I would like to thank you teachers for moulding us into worthy people to face the world boldly. Teacher's day is celebrated in commemoration of the great leader Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. He was the President of India in the tenure between 1962 to 1967. He was a scholar and a firm believer of education such that his birth anniversary came to be celebrated as teacher's day.

As students, we have been some times tough to handle. But your individual attention has helped us learn from our mistakes and grow. I take the opportunity to mention on teacher's day, how much all of you mean to us. I take this stage to confess that we may all not be in your good books. But this is the best day for all of us to express how much we love you as students. Thank you teachers for being with us as we grow. We will definitely make you proud in the years to come!

Teachers are also the guides who play an important role in transforming a student into a responsible citizen. They also serve selflessly and help us to reach our aim in all terms. Their contribution is not only limited to schools but it extends to society and country. Thus, after parents, teachers should receive the due respect.

Teachers' day is celebrated as a special event in schools and colleges in different ways. Students will be looking forward to make the event special by offering gifts, flowers and greeting cards to their teachers. Cultural programmes are conducted to make the programme more fun-filled and colourful.
