Horse Parts In 'Red Dead Redemption 2' Leaves Twitter Divided
When Red Dead Redemption dropped in 2010, it was a technical marvel and an instant hit with gamers. Rockstar Games, the creators of the Grand Theft Auto series (among others), made one of the most expansive and lively open worlds in video gaming to date. A massive map to explore, bandits to chase, banks to rob, animals to hunt — it basically had everything you'd want in a Wild West experience.
With the power of the new console generation behind it and (as spotted by Rockstar Intel) 105GB of required storage space, Red Dead 2 promises to be bigger and badder than ever.
From the gameplay trailer posted by GameSpot on YouTube alone, the level of detail is stunning. The world they've created isn't just beautiful to look at, but one that's full of life!
That's right, Rockstar Intel told us first, but Red Dead Redemption 2 is sooo incredibly detailed that the horses' junk responds to the weather.
A lot of people took to Twitter to express their thoughts on the pony pair shrinkage in the game. It seems we're divided as ever on this feature.
I'm not sure it's because of the bronco bollocks that it'll get Game of the Year, but I didn't see anything like that in Spider-Man for PS4.
I'm not sure that the entire development team sat down in a room filled to the brim with pictures of horse hogs for this feature, but the point is there.
Not even offended in an "I don't wanna see mustang marbles in my video games" kind of way, but like, offended on behalf of the art form of gaming.
Is it such a horrible thing, however? Joking or not, some people have a much more positive outlook on this concept in general.
The best argument is that if there's that much detail between a horses legs, just think of the detail Rockstar put everywhere else!
As crude a sense of humor as Rockstar has a lot of the time, I doubt they were expecting people to focus so hard on this one aspect — but they probably could've seen it coming.
Sure, Twitter is going to latch onto the funniest part of this game's reveal — but there's so much more to explore here!
Your main character, Arthur Morgan here, will actually grow stubble into a full-on beard.
As of this date, however, we don't know anything about the other animals' genitals in the game. Sad, huh? ;)
Well, it is the internet we're talking about here, so remember to take it all with a grain of salt. Personally, I'll be in line for my copy on October 26, ready to watch that pair of pony apples shrink in the cold faster than Ant-Man in ice water!

Everything we loved about the first game is back and improved on a great deal.

But of course, there was one particular detail in the game that was reported on and got the attention of the internet right away...

So, maybe the real question is, what do we do with that information? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

On one hand, yeah, it's a bit weird to mention the colts' cojones, but you've got to admit that's an impressive amount of detail.

Others, of course, were far less than impressed.

Some people were downright offended.

It's not the actual pair of shriveling stallion medallions that have got gamers excited.
The particular point regarding the horses was mentioned to Kotaku writer Stephen Totilo, who got to spend two hours with the game.

It's an amusing detail and I'm glad we can all be reasonably immature enough to snicker at it, I really am! So let's not pretend like this is anything more than a piece of a very realistic horse!

Many fans are clearly in on the joke — they found the funny, and I'm here for it.

Clearly, no one was launching the game 'til the filly phallus was perfect, right?

Things are so detailed in RDR2, Push Square reports that you literally have to shave and bathe your character every now and then to avoid stinking like your horse in the heat.

Red Dead 2 is also set to include 200 species of animals — each living as they would in the real world, according to Check Point Gaming.
