Brie Larson Just Revealed Captain Marvel's Powers In The MCU, And We're Freaking Out
Ever since Avengers: Infinity War tore out my heart and showed it to me, I've felt pretty uncertain about the ultimate fate of Marvel's remaining heroes.
What do you think Captain Marvel will do with her ability to move planets? Let us know in the COMMENTS!

Ever since Avengers: Infinity War tore out my heart and showed it to me, I've felt pretty uncertain about the ultimate fate of Marvel's remaining heroes.
Fortunately, I've been able to carry on thanks to one shining beacon of hope: Captain Marvel.
For those who don't know, Captain Marvel is a tremendously powerful superhero within the comic book realm.
From an abilities standpoint, Captain Marvel has the super-enhanced strength (both for receiving and distributing force), the power to fly, and the capacity to shoot energy bursts from her palms.

However, that's just in the comics.
The MCU's (Marvel Cinematic Universe) interpretation of a character can sometimes lead to the omitting of certain powers (for example, Thanos can use telepathy in the comics, but we've never seen them in the MCU), which means none of Captain Marvel's prescribed powers are for certain in the MCU.

That said, Brie Larson, who plays the Captain, did reveal one of her superhero's powers within the MCU.
During an interview with E!, Larson praised the strength of her character, claiming, "She’s so, so strong. She can move planets!"
Now, we all knew Captain Marvel had super strength, but the ability to move planets?! That has the potential for some next-level implications.

Like, maybe she could drop one on Thanos' big ugly head?
Obviously, we're all curious as to what Captain Marvel's role will be in the upcoming Avengers film. In particular, how her character will play into defeating the Mad Titan.
In any case, if Captain Marvel can move an entire planet out of orbit, like, say, one that Thanos is residing on, he suddenly doesn't seem so powerful anymore.
Of course, we'll have to find out exactly how Thanos' possession of the Infinity Stones will affect the story line, as well.

Ultimately, it's safe to say that Captain Marvel is going to stir up a lot of trouble for Thanos in Avengers 4.
Because if the post-credits scene for Infinity War told us anything, it's that the Avengers' last hope for defeating Thanos lies in the hands of Captain Marvel.
