13 Tips For Waking Up A Tired Face

13 Tips For Waking Up A Tired Face

Let's face it. We've all had those times when we've tossed and turned all night or dinner with the girls went a little later than anticipated. The aftermath of restless, sleepless nights always shows on our faces. And when we've got places to go and people to see, a tired face is the last thing we want to deal with. Fortunately, there are tons of easy, extremely helpful beauty tips that will aid you in reviving even the sleepiest of faces. You likely already own most of the makeup products on this list, so all you need to know now are the unique ways to use them! I could've definitely used #10 this morning (ugh, Mondays), but now I'm well-equipped to tackle my next fatigued look. So if you're ready to look your best even if you're so not feeling it, keep reading for a list of 13 easy tips for waking up a tired face!

1. Pinch Of Color

The oldest trick in the book to wake up a tired face is by adding some color to your complexion! Cheek stains work wonders for this, and most can also be used on your lips as well! Don't have time for a blush fix? Use the old-school method of pinching your cheeks for an instant rosy look.

2. Eye Drops

Dry, bloodshot eyes are both telltale signs of a tired face. Invest in some good quality eye drops for those sleepy mornings when you need to brighten up your eyes.

3. Cool Your Cream

Dark, puffy eyes definitely don't help when we're struggling to look more awake. Keep an eye cream in your fridge and apply to under eyes in need of some waking up. The coolness will help to bring down swelling and decrease the appearance of dark circles.

4. Brighten Inner Eyes

This is such an easy makeup tip, and I so wish I had known about it earlier! The eyes are the focal point of the face, so when we're tired, they are the first things to show it. Simply add a little light, shimmery eyeshadow to the inner corners of your eyes to instantly appear more awake!

5. Curl Those Lashes

Befriend your eyelash curler! Curling your lashes is such a quick, easy step to make your eyes appear bigger and brighter.

6. Highlight

Never underestimate the power of highlight powder. Applying highlighter to your upper cheekbones, bridge of your nose, above your brows, and above your upper lip is an instant way to add some glow and life into a tired face.

7. Conceal Correctly

When we're trying to cover up dark under eye circles, we tend to opt for the lightest, brightest concealer. This is actually the opposite of what you should be doing, as super light concealers can actually highlight dark circles even more. Instead, choose a concealer with peach or tan undertones, which will combat dark circles more effectively.

8. Experiment With Eyeshadow

A simple way to disguise a tired face is by shaking up your normal beauty routine. When you're looking more tired than usual, experiment with an eyeshadow that you don't usually wear. This new eye look will detract from any of your features that are showing signs of fatigue.

9. All About The Brows

Although your eyes are super important in reviving a tired face, so are your eyebrows! Even if you don't have time for makeup, simply grooming and sculpting your brows with a spooly will add some instant assistance to a tired face.

10. Refresh With Rosewater

A great way to refresh and revitalize a tired look is by splashing your face with a rosewater toner or cleaner. Rosewater is an excellent tool for adding some glow to a sleepy complexion. Don't have rosewater on hand? Cold water is your next best bet!

11. Moisturize

We often forget the importance of moisturizing, especially when it comes to our faces! Replenish lost moisture and add some glow to your complexion by starting your day with a good quality face moisturizer.

12. Mascara Madness

If you only have time for one makeup product, mascara goes such a long way. Coat on a few layers of black mascara for big, voluminous lashes that will open up tired eyes.

13. Rock A Bold Lip

The best way to combat a tired face is through distraction. Even if you leave the rest of your face bare, applying a bold lip color will instantly amp up a sleepy face. I love how this natural makeup look has been spiced up with a matte, berry lip.
